Enroll a Student
Online Enrollment is open for the 2024-2025 school year.
Welcome to Clairton City School District! To enroll your child(ren) in our school, please follow the below steps.
- Gain access to our online enrollment system "Alma Start" using one of the below options:
- Current or Returning Families
- Sign in to your existing Alma parent account at one of the links below. If you are unsure of your login, you can use the "Forgot password?" option. Your username is typically your firstname.lastname (period between names).
Elementary (grades K-5): https://clairton-es.getalma.com/
Middle/High (grades 6-12): https://clairton-mshs.getalma.com/ - Select the circle with your initials (upper right corner on a computer, lower right corner on mobile) and select "Alma Start".

- New Families
- Browse to https://clairton.almastart.com/ and select "Create Account". Enter your name, email or phone number, and choose a password.

Check for an "Alma Start Account Activation" email or text and open the link in the message to activate your account.

Return to https://clairton.almastart.com/ and log in using your email or phone number and password from step 1.
- Current or Returning Families

If you have existing students in the system, first select "Add Student" and then enter your child's name. If you are new to the district, you will already be on the "Student's Name" screen. After entering their name, select the green "Add Student" button.

Select "Begin New Process"

Select the school your child will be enrolling in.
Kindergarten through Grade 5: Clairton Elementary School
(Note: Child must be 5 years old by September 1st to be eligible for Kindergarten)
Grades 6 through 12: Clairton Middle / High School

Select the appropriate School Year and Grade Level

Look for the "New Student Enrollment" process and select "Begin"

Select "Step 1) Complete Enrollment Forms". You will see 9 forms to complete.

Proceed with completing each form, and be sure to select "Complete" at the bottom to finalize each form.

Once all 9 forms are complete (indicated by green check marks), be sure to select "Submit" at the top right to send the forms for approval.

Select "Step 2) School Visit" and complete the "Contact Information for Registration Meeting" form. This is how you would like to be contacted by the school to schedule your in-person meeting to provide the necessary documentation.

Select "Step 2) School Visit" again and then select "School Visit". You will be provided with information about the documentation you will need to provide when you visit the school.
The school will reach out to you soon to schedule your in-person meeting. Once you have met with the school and provided the required documentation, you can log back in to Alma Start to check on your application status.
