Chill Project Information And Opt-Out

Dear Clairton City School District Families,

The district is excited to announce our participation in a unique opportunity to promote social and emotional health for our school community through the Chill Project by the Allegheny Health Network beginning in January of 2022.

About the Chill Project by AHN

  • Teaches evidenced based coping skills to students, staff, and families
  • Provides students with an opportunity to practice and learn these skills in a “Chill Room”

What is the Chill Room?

  • A dedicated space for students to use when they are feeling stressed and need a break.
  • The space is staffed by a Chill Project Educator who will provide assistance to the student.
  • Members of the Chill Project Team will communicate with the school when needed.

All students will have access to the above services, but If you do not want your child to participate in Chill Project Programming, including Chill Room services, please sign and return the attached form to your child’s homeroom teacher by 12/21/21.
